Why not use a general chatbot?
A general chatbot starts from a blank conversation and may produce polished advice that is not grounded in your document. The Portfolio Reviewer is configured around the DOccMed portfolio structure and must identify relevant extracts before it critiques them.
It is instructed not to invent clinical facts, workplace details, measurements, references or examination requirements. It also refuses to write an entire candidate submission or present its output as an official Faculty assessment.
Portfolio Reviewer
- Upload an anonymised PDF or DOCX portfolio.
- Choose the Workplace Assessment or Clinical Case.
- Review one defined subsection at a time.
- Compare the cited portfolio extract with the concern and revision direction.
- Rewrite the section yourself, using the feedback as formative guidance.
Completed feedback is saved. Reopening it does not generate another response or use another credit. A new subsection review or follow up AI response may use a credit, as shown in the interface.
Example of the feedback structure
Portfolio extract: “The employee was advised that adjustments may be helpful.”
Concern: The recommendation is too general to show what functional problem was being addressed, what adjustment was proposed or how it would be reviewed.
Revision direction: State the relevant functional limitation, make each proposed adjustment specific and proportionate, and explain the planned review point. Add only facts supported by your case record.
This is illustrative formative feedback. The reviewer identifies what needs strengthening but leaves the candidate to write and verify the final submission.
DOccMed MCQs
The MCQ application serves published, versioned questions from the OccMed.Space question bank. It begins with a balanced baseline across nine curriculum categories, then uses your answers and recorded learning objectives to recommend where practice should go next.
The bank is the core learning resource. AI generated questions are not used as a substitute for the verified bank and are reserved for later, candidate initiated learning features where they add clear value.
What the platform will not do
- give an official mark or pass prediction;
- invent an examination rule or reference;
- write a complete portfolio for submission;
- retain the original uploaded binary file;
- regenerate saved feedback when you reopen it; or
- expose hidden prompts, provider keys or another user’s work.
Data handling in brief
Upload only anonymised material. Extracted portfolio text and saved feedback are stored in your account so you can return to them. The current Portfolio Reviewer retention setting is 365 days from the latest update, and you can delete saved work sooner.
